OHAMBO (the “Application”) is a trip-related planning and document store application, available from makingChoices.be bvba. (the “Company”), either online through a website at www.ohambo.com or via a mobile application. OHAMBO provides users with the ability to integrate all of their trip-related information into one location, share information regarding their trips, and connect to third party services that provide valuable information concerning their trip like hotel availability, attractions and transport options.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices. You agree to our privacy practices as set out in this privacy statement.

This statement describes the information that the Application collects and how that information may be used by us. This statement does not apply to information we collect through any means other than the Application, actions that you may take as a user to share your information or to information collected on any other Company or third-party site that may link to or be accessible from the Application. What information does OHAMBO collect?

We built OHAMBO to help you remember and organize your trip-related plan, thoughts, expenses, documents and other trip-related information. That means you can input, upload, or store in OHAMBO any text, images, documents, and other data that you choose—we refer to that information as “Content”. We also may link your subscriber information with data we receive from our partners and other third parties to help understand your needs and provide you with a better experience.  For example, if you create or log into an OHAMBO account using your Facebook credentials via single sign-on, we will have access to certain information such as your name and email address as authorized in your Facebook profile settings.

How does OHAMBO use my information?

We have specific rules for how and when we use the information we collect and receive. We describe these below.

What does OHAMBO do with my information?

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your information. Below, we describe the ways in which we use the information we collect and receive to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, to provide troubleshooting and customer support, to protect the Service for all our users and to contact you. 

Would someone at OHAMBO ever view my Content?

You have control over who sees your Content. We limit the use of your Content to make sure that no one at OHAMBO can view it unless you expressly give us permission or it’s necessary to comply with our legal obligations. Specifically:

How does OHAMBO share or disclose my information?

How can I manage my information stored in OHAMBO?

Your data is yours. You can manage your information simply by logging into your account and editing your information directly within the OHAMBO application.
However, if you prefer, you can contact us at info@ohambo.com to ask us to provide access to, correct, update, or delete your personal information. Please note that we may ask you for proof of account ownership and/or identity before fulfilling your request.

How long does OHAMBO store my information?

OHAMBO's mission is to help you remember everything important for your trip plan. In order to do that, we make the Content you store in OHAMBO readily accessible to you, until you make the decision to delete it.
If you delete your Content, it will no longer be accessible to you or others who may access the Service. The OHAMBO service’s back-up systems may retain residual copies of your deleted Content for up to 30 days due to the nature of those systems’ operations.
For users who are inactive for extended periods of time, we may close your account to satisfy our obligations under applicable law. If that happens, we will try to notify you before taking any action.

What happens if I want to stop using OHAMBO?

As described above, you can delete your Content at any time, and you can stop using the OHAMBO service at any time.

What happens if OHAMBO closes my account?

If OHAMBO deactivates your account, then you may contact us to request deletion of your Content, and we will evaluate such requests on a case by case basis, pursuant to our legal obligations.

Where does OHAMBO store my information?

When you use OHAMBO on your computing device, such as by using one of our downloadable applications, some of your data will be stored locally on that device.
That data will be replicated on servers maintained by Google. This means that if you store information in or submit data to the application, you acknowledge your personal information will be transmitted to, hosted, and accessed on these serves.
We will collect, store, and use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws, wherever it is processed.

Cookies and Other Technologies for Use of the Services

The Application may use “cookies”. which are small pieces of code placed on a page to monitor the behavior and collect data about the viewing of that page. Other versions of these technologies may also collect information regarding your Internet protocol address and type of browser, the type of operating system you are using, the domain name of your Internet service provider, the web pages you have visited, location information, and the type of mobile device and provider used to utilize the Application. For PII, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if the Company is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law.

We have implemented reasonable measures designed to secure your data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure.

Children Under the Age of 13

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under age 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected such data from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
